WILDERNESS PLAYGROUPS

“We believe, to optimize learning, children must have a sense of self “ - Tessa James, Principal

At Wilderness, our exceptional programs celebrate each child’s uniqueness

SELF EMPOWERMENT

By providing our playgroup students with the opportunity to make choices about their learning and nurturing their interests, they develop into self-empowered children who are not afraid to learn from their mistakes and try new things. Self-empowered children ultimately grow to be more independent, with a healthy sense of self-esteem.

SELF ENCOURAGEMENT

Intrinsic motivation plays a crucial role in nurturing students to become lifelong and contented learners. At Wilderness, we prioritize the cultivation of self-encouragement and aim to foster a growth mindset. We believe in acknowledging and appreciating our students' efforts, regardless of the outcome they achieve in their desired pursuits. By instilling a sense of gratitude in your children, we empower them to develop resilience when confronted with challenges.

SELF-WORTH

To promote self-worth, we cultivate students' self-esteem by building meaningful connections and creating a safe environment in which they feel secure and cared for. We provide them with the space to take risks, and we consistently encourage them to share their opinions, express their emotions, and explore their interests.

What playgroup services do we offer ?

We offer accompanied and semi-accompanied playgroup classes for children aged 6 months - 3 years old. All classes take place in our Reggio-Emilia inspired classrooms and outdoor play area. We offer both English and Mandarin playgroup classes. After your little one grows out of our playgroup classes, they may then move on to join our kindergarten classes for which our playgroup students are given priority.

our commitment

Our playgroup programs are expertly designed to help children learn and embrace their natural curiosity. Our play-centered programs offer each child the perfect opportunity to develop their pre-numeracy skills and language skills by asking questions, making predictions, using their imagination, and expressing wonder.

we are fully committed to ensuring that every child has the right to:

  • Feel safe, secure, and have a genuine sense of belonging.

  • Build confidence through active participation in our learning programs.

  • Explore and discover the world around them through exploration and heightened curiosity.

  • Choose their own learning and play activities from a daily menu of planned interactions.

  • Experience positive social interactions and learn how to build positive relationships with other children and adults.
